Open the theme editor, go to a product page template, add the "SwatchShelf swatches" app block under the product form and save. For collection pages, enable the "SwatchShelf collection swatches" app embed.
No. Swatches are rendered by your theme's own Liquid so there is no layout shift, and the small script loads from Shopify's CDN with no third-party requests.
From your product options. Color names are matched to colors automatically, and you can set a hex color, an image or a texture for any option value in the app. Settings are stored in your own store.
SwatchShelf supports Online Store 2.0 themes. It follows the theme's own variant picker so price, images and add to cart keep working. If a theme behaves oddly, send us the theme name and a product link.
Sold-out or unavailable combinations are shown crossed out and marked unavailable for screen readers, or hidden, depending on your setting.
Remove the SwatchShelf blocks from your theme, then uninstall the app from Settings, Apps in your Shopify admin. Your original product options are never changed.
SwatchShelf is billed through Shopify at the price shown on its App Store listing, with a free trial. Cancel anytime by uninstalling.
