JobFile Renamer - Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-26. Published by EARTHLOOM HOLDINGS LIMITED, Hong Kong ("we", "us").

What JobFile Renamer does

JobFile Renamer renames the files in a folder you choose, from a CSV mapping or a naming template, after showing you a full before and after preview. It is a progressive web app that runs entirely in your browser or in the installed Windows app.

Your files

The app reads file names, sizes and modified dates in the folder you pick, and renames files you approve, using your browser's File System Access permission. File names and file contents are processed on your device only. We never receive, upload, copy, store, sell or share them. Your permission applies to the folder you chose and can be revoked in the browser at any time.

What is stored on your device

Your last settings, your undo journal (old and new names of recent batches) and, if you buy a license, your license token are stored in your browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). Clear the site data or uninstall the app to remove them.

What we receive

Only if you buy and activate a license: your license key and a random device identifier are sent over HTTPS to our license server to confirm the license is valid. Payment is handled by Stripe; we do not see your card details. The free version sends nothing to us. The app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.

Children

The app is a general file utility and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
