Frequently asked questions

Which columns can the copywriter edit?

Only "New text". Leave ID, Page, Frame, Layer and Original text unchanged. A blank "New text" means no change.

What if a layer changed in Figma after I exported?

The import flags it as a conflict, shows both versions, and leaves it unchecked until you approve it.

Why are some layers marked "mixed styles"?

When one text layer contains several fonts, sizes or colors, replacing its text gives the new text the style of the first character. Review those layers before applying.

A font is missing - what happens?

That layer is skipped and listed in the result summary. Install or replace the font in Figma and import again.

Do my layer IDs survive renames and moves?

Yes. They survive renaming, moving and restyling. They do not survive deleting and recreating a layer.

Is anything sent to the cloud?

No. CopyRoundtrip works offline and has no network access.

How do I get my purchase back?

Pro is tied to your Figma account. Open the plugin while signed in with the account you bought with.
